Leadville Ski Joring 2026

I run communications and marketing for Leadville Ski Joring, one of the oldest ski joring events in the country. Teams of horses and skiers race down Harrison Avenue, with the skier getting pulled through jumps and gates behind the horse. It's chaotic and fast and unlike anything else in winter sports, and my job is to build a brand around it that actually does it justice.
I handle the brand and visual direction, press communications, and the bigger story of what LSJ is and where it's headed. I shoot the event and produce the photography and content that keeps it alive online well after the weekend's over. This year drew around 25,000 spectators and pulled over 1 million impressions across our own channels.
I treat every year as another step toward growing LSJ's reach and reputation while protecting the history that makes it what it is.
